About Us
Mountain View Manor Elderly Housing is a HUD Subsidized Elderly and Disabled apartment complex with 24 tenant apartments. There are 23 1-bedroom apartments and one 2-bedroom apartment, with two of the 1-bedroom apartments handicap accessible. There is an office, two laundry rooms, a large social hall as well as a commercial type kitchen and dining room.
The unfurnished apartments are especially nice -- each bedroom having a large closet, ample storage including a pantry closet and a living room separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. The kitchens are complete with electric stoves and refrigerators. The bathroom is roomy with a linen closet and a cabinet under the sink. The bathroom, kitchen and entry have linoleum floor covering. The living room and bedroom have carpeting. Each apartment has a small deck with planter boxes.
The complex has laundry facilities on each floor, with one-half day a week being assigned to each tenant for a small fee of $10.00/month. At present, dinners are served five nights a week in the dining room or delivered to your apartment. These meals, provided by Mt. View Food Service, are optional and available to all seniors 60 years or older for a donation. Mt. View Food Services can be reached at (907) 772-4331.
Income limits, age/disability requirements and additional optional services are outlined in the Elderly Housing Application Packet. If printing out the application packet, please be sure to print it out one sided only. If your household consists of more than one member, print off both the Application Packet and the Double Occupancy Packet below.
