Permit-Ready Accessory Dwelling Units (PRADU)
The Petersburg Borough's Permit-Ready Accessory Dwelling Unit (PRADU) Program is designed to make it easier for property owners in Service Area 1 to add an ADU that meets local building code. Here's what you need to know:
What is an ADU?
An Accessory Dwelling Unit is a self-contained residential unit with its own living, sleeping, eating, cooking, and bathroom facilities. It's located on the same property as a single-family home, but it's a separate dwelling.
Benefits of PRADU:
The PRADU program provides homeowners with four pre-approved ADU designs to choose from. These range in size from 360 to 650 square feet and come in various architectural styles. This allows you to find an ADU that complements your existing home.
Time and Cost Savings:
By using a pre-approved plan, you can save time and money on the initial design and permit review process.
