About Us

Welcome to the Petersburg Harbors.  The Petersburg Borough operates and maintains three harbors – North, Middle & South, a port dock, multiple loading facilities, storage areas, launch ramps, work floats and leased properties. Click here for map.  The staff consists of the harbormaster, an office manager, maintenance, and security personal that cover shifts on a 24/7 basis.

The Harbor Department is an enterprise fund that is funded through a combination of user fees, lease fees, fisheries business taxes as well as state and federal grants for specific projects.  The annual operating budget is approximately $1.5 million with an additional varied capital improvement budget depending upon need.

The customer base include commercial fishing vessels, work boats, recreation and charter vessels that lease stalls on a permanent year around basis.  During the summer months we also have a number of transient vessels and small tour ships that visit our harbors. 

Petersburg waterfront caters to the marine community and most everything is within walking distance or businesses offer delivery.  The Harbor also has restrooms and a coin operated shower available to the public.
