Power & Light asks customers to conserve energy

With temperatures forecasted to dip into single digit territory this week, Petersburg Municipal Power & Light would like to ask customers to conserve energy where possible! If the SEAPA system loads are too high, PMPL will need to supplement with diesel generators during peak load times which can lead to diesel surcharges on your electric bill. Please be conscious of usage and conserve as much as possible while protecting water pipes and keeping warm. Using your wood stoves, adding a clothing layer to be comfortable, and turning off lights that are not needed will help to keep our electrical loads within SEAPA’s capacity.
