INVITATION TO BID: PETERSBURG BOROUGH PUMP STATION 4 & FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT
Notice is hereby given that the Petersburg Borough will receive sealed bids for the Pump Station 4 and Force Main Replacement Project. This Project generally consists of the installation and integration of a new sewer pump station into an existing sanitary sewer system with associated collection system, building and site improvements including; existing building renovations and a new electrical controls building addition with associated mechanical and electrical systems, force main pipe, fittings, gravity sewer pipe, fittings and manholes, concrete wet well and valve vault with the installation of owner supplied pumps, discharge elbows and equipment, electrical panels, supervisory control and data acquisition system interface, grading, drainage and storm improvements, concrete slab on grade, sidewalk, curb and gutter and roadway patching, landscape improvements, coordination with local utilities, and other miscellaneous and incidental work.
The estimated construction cost is between $2.5M and $3M. All Work must be substantially complete by Sept. 1, 2025.
Sealed bids will be received by the Petersburg Borough, Post Office Box 329, Petersburg, Alaska 99833, located in the Municipal Building, No. 12 South Nordic Drive, Petersburg, Alaska 99833 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Borough Assembly Chambers.
The Contract Documents, including one set of reduced scale drawings, may be obtained from the Petersburg Borough Public Works Department, 303 South 2nd Street, (907) 772-4430. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 made payable to the Petersburg Borough is required for each set of contract documents. Additional charges will be required for special handling or delivery of the documents by means other than first class mail. Alternatively, the Contract Documents may be downloaded at no charge from the Petersburg Borough website under “Current Bid Advertisements” and after filling out a contact form.
All Contractors or Consultants must complete a Contractor Notification Form.
The Petersburg Borough Standard Specifications, 2012 (PBSS) are available for an additional fee of $60.00 made payable to the Petersburg Borough. PBSS are also available for free download on the Borough’s website.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check or certified check made payable to the Petersburg Borough in the amount of five percent of the total bid price.
Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a Pre-Bid Conference that will be held in Petersburg on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM. The meeting may be attended in person at the Borough Assembly Chambers, or by Zoom. The Petersburg Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the Borough.
