Petersburg Borough Motor Pool Department Vehicle & Equipment Auction Sealed Bid
The Motor Pool Department is accepting sealed bids for a number of surplus vehicles and equipment. The bids will be opened publicly at 1pm on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Public Works Office located at 303 South 2nd Street. Units offered for sale are as follows:

- 2016 Ram 5500 Aerial Truck, VIN 3C7WRNAL1GG218883- $40,000 reserve
- 1995 Chevy Suburban LS 1500, VIN 1GNFK16K3SJ352349- $3000 reserve
- 2010 International Material Handler, VIN 1HTMKAAR8AH255645- $35,000 reserve
- 2010 International Digger Derrick, VIN 1HTWGAZR2AJ255647- $50,000 reserve
- Fiberglass canopy for service truck- $250 reserve
- 2- Portable toilet- $1 reserve
All units are sold “as is, where is” without warranty or representation as to condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Item preview is highly recommended and bidding without previewing is strongly discouraged as the TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY FOR ALL BIDDERS. Petersburg Borough shall not be responsible for any representations or statements concerning any equipment, its prior use, condition, suitability for intended purpose, or suitability for which it is customarily devoted. NOTE: Vehicle is in UNKNOWN WORKING CONDITION unless otherwise stated. Petersburg Borough does not guarantee that any vehicle sold can be legally registered in any state or country. Buyers are solely responsible for confirming, researching inspecting vehicles and any/all information regarding the type, condition, status, and history of vehicles before bidding. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL REFUNDS OR RETURNS BE ACCEPTED.
Bids must be sealed and contain the bidder’s name, address, phone number, the bid amount and the item being bid on. The outside of the envelope must be marked “Motor Pool Bid”. Bids may be submitted in person at the Public Works office, 303 South 2nd Street, or mailed to Petersburg Borough Public Works Dept – Motor Pool Bid, PO Box 329, Petersburg, AK 99833. Bids may not be submitted verbally, or by email or fax. No bids will be accepted after 1pm on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Payment is due within two weeks of notification of winning bid. Vehicles must be removed from Borough property no later than 2 weeks after payment is made. If a purchased item is not removed within 2 weeks of payment it will be impounded and subject to impound fees and possible destruction. If the winning bidder fails to make payment, the next highest bidder will be awarded the bid.
